Dr. Mike Tettenborn is a Consultant Paediatrician based at Frimley Childrenís Centre in Surrey, with a special interest in Educational Medicine and in allergies. He developed an interest in allergy and food intolerance 22 years ago, largely from hearing what parents were saying about their children's presentation, at a time when the term Food Intolerance had not even be 'coined'. Since then he has continued to develop this interest based on a large amount of clinical experience.
Barbara Powell(Barbara the Bread) is a former cookery teacher and has also run a catering company in Hampshire and Cornwall. Having food intolerances herself and continually being asked for recipes suitable for different diets she decided to set up Barbara's Kitchen Ltd., a company that provides lots of information, starter packs of ingredients and a recipe book which she amends to suit each personís own set of intolerances. All her recipes for children on the autistic spectrum are totally free from gluten, dairy, monosodiumglutamate (msg - dga) and aspartame, and many recipes can also be free from egg and sugar/yeast.
