The Surrey Branch of the National Autistic Society was formed in 1995 and is run entirely by volunteers, most of whom are parents of children or adults with autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs). There are now around 900 members on our newsletter mailing list. We support families involved in the care of children and adults with ASDs in Surrey, working closely with NAS professionals who run services from the NAS Autism Resource Centre in Godalming.
Some of the things we do are
The branch relies on the support of individuals to continue our work, as we receive no funding from local or central government. Donations from companies are also very welcome, and some members have raised funds for us through their company's matched giving scheme. Any financial contributions should be sent by cheque made out to 'NAS Surrey Branch' and sent to the address below. .
