Joshua Muggleton, BSc (Hons)., MRes., MBPsS., FRSA., is a speaker, writer and consultant on Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Shortly after being diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome in 2005 he has been giving talks on high functioning Autism and Aspergers Syndrome across the UK. Drawing on personal experience, anecdotes, and psychological research, Josh aims to give his audience an insight into life with Aspergers Syndrome. His interactive, informal and experience based approach has made him a highly popular speaker with parents, teachers and professionals alike, and regularly speaks at conferences, teacher training events, and parent support groups. Often using his own personal story, Joshua also delivers speeches at other awareness raising events, highlighting the difficulties he has faced and the successes he has achieved, to deliver a positive, inspirational and motivating message.

Some of the topics Joshua talks about include his communication, socialisation, and transitions. Joshua prefers to make autism relevant to his audience, and often uses insightful and engaging exercises and demonstrations to help his audience “see though the eyes of an aspie”

What other's say about Josh:

"Your willingness to let people know about your experience is truly valuable. Thank you."
Margaret, parent - UK.

"I thought your talk was great and I was really pleased that I got the chance to hear it. From the reaction you got I think everyone found it very helpful and it provided lots of thoughts and ideas for us all to keep in mind. Well done." - Sarah, Psychologist.

"I have been privileged to hear Josh speak on several occasions. Each time I learn something new and have benefitted from his insights into how he sees the world. He is still a teenager but he is able to answer questions from the floor like a seasoned professional speaker." Jane Vaughan, NAS Regional Co-ordinator, London & South-east England.

"He was outstanding and said things exactly as they needed to be said. Everyone should get to hear what Josh has to say, especially if they have students with Asperger's syndrome in their school. A very interesting talk for all to hear". - Sue, Coordinator for ASD, Sutton LEA

"As training days go, they can often be considered 'standard' or 'textbook'; however, these are NOT two words which can ever be used to describe a training day with Joshua Muggleton." Aiming High Team, Northumberland County Council
